University Farms Research/Education Centers
![]() At the College of Agricultural Sciences, we strongly believe in the motto, "learning by doing." Ensuring that you have a sound academic back-ground when you leave the University is one of our main goals. We feel it is important that students put into practice the information learned in the classroom. The hands-on work experience helps ensure that academic knowledge is enhanced with the practical experience that employers seek when hiring employees.
Our 2,000 acre, on-campus farm allows us to offer the best in traditional agricultural education, and provides the best hands-on experience to our students. Students are surrounded with opportunities to participate in the cutting edge research activities found in the many laboratories in the Agriculture Building, Quigley Hall test kitchens, and at the University Farms Research and Education Centers. The Universtiy Farms Research and Education Centers that many students can take advantage of when pursuing a degree in Forestry includes:
