Welcome to the Animal Science, Food and Nutrition website. We are delighted you are visiting us and are learning about our people and programs. We offer a comprehensive education leading to BS, MS and PhD degrees.
Our undergraduate programs are divided into Animal Science, Hospitality and Tourism Administration, or Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Within the undergraduate Animal Science degree program we offer specializations in Pre-veterinary Medicine/Science, Equine Science, and Animal Production. In the undergraduate Hospitality and Tourism Administration degree program, we offer specializations in Lodging, Food Service, and Tourism Management. The undergraduate Human Nutrition and Dietetics degree program is the first step leading to students becoming a Registered Dietitian. Our MS graduate programs are designed for students seeking additional specialized training and education in Animal Science, Community Nutrition (R.D. Internship Program), and Nutritional Sciences. A new Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences started Fall 2008. The faculty and staff of our department pride themselves on being accessible and student-oriented.
