ADVISEMENT

The advisement system at the College of Agricultural Sciences is a unique and student-oriented system. The system has proven effective in enhancing student retention and fostering positive faculty-student relationships throughout a student’s educational experience.

The layered advisement system first places a student in contact with a Coordinating Counselor. The Coordinating Counselor meets with the student to discuss educational goals and objectives. Once the Coordinating Counselor fully understands the student’s educational ambitions, the Counselor will assign a faculty advisor to assist the student throughout their educational endeavors at the College of Agricultural Sciences. Many students find this faculty-student relationship invaluable, and often call on their faculty advisors for job recommendations and professional advice. Our goal is to keep students on the right track to obtaining a degree in a timely manner!
