Welcome to the Department of Plant, Soil and Agricultural Systems.  Whether you may have specifically come searching for us, or accidentally discovered us, I am pleased that you have found our web site.

 

Our academic programs address the needs of those students who desire the required training for professional careers in the production and processing of food/grain crops, landscape design/management, soil conservation/sustainability, and the agricultural communications arenas.  Seventy-five percent of all jobs in Illinois are directly or indirectly related to agriculture, and our faculty have the expertise to train our students for these positions that drive the agricultural economy for the state and nation.  We have the opportunities for summer internships, and the College of Agricultural Sciences hosts two career fairs for employment opportunities.
